Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of asktalent.ai (“asktalent”, “we”, “us”), including our website and the AI interview service. By creating an account, buying credits or taking part in an interview, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you use asktalent.ai for a company, you confirm that you can accept these terms for it, and “you” includes that company.

1. The service

asktalent.ai lets companies schedule spoken interviews run by AI interviewers, invite their own team to join live by video, record interviews when they choose to, and receive AI-written evaluations with transcripts. We may improve, change or remove features over time. We will give reasonable notice before removing a feature you pay for.

2. Accounts

  • You must be at least 18 and give accurate information when you sign up.
  • Keep your sign-in details secure. You are responsible for activity in your account and should tell us promptly at support@asktalent.ai if you think it has been misused.
  • You are responsible for the people you add to your hiring team and what they do in the service.

3. Credits and payment

  • The service is paid for with prepaid credits. Current credit packs, prices and the credits each feature uses are shown on our pricing section and in your dashboard.
  • New accounts with a verified work email get free welcome credits, once per company domain. Personal addresses such as Gmail can sign in and buy credits but don’t get welcome credits. We may withdraw welcome credits obtained by abuse.
  • Credits do not expire while your account is open. They have no cash value and cannot be transferred or exchanged for money.
  • Interview credits are reserved when you schedule an interview. You are charged for the time the interview actually runs and the rest is returned automatically. Credits are returned in full if you cancel an interview or the candidate never joins.
  • Payments are processed by Razorpay. Prices include or exclude taxes as shown at checkout.
  • Purchased credits are non-refundable, except where we charged you in error, the service failed because of us, or the law requires a refund. Contact support@asktalent.ai within 30 days of the charge.
  • We may change prices or credit rates for the future. Changes do not affect credits you have already bought or interviews already scheduled.

4. Your responsibilities as a hiring team

When you use asktalent.ai to interview people, you are responsible for your hiring process and must:

  • Have a lawful basis to invite each candidate and process their data, and tell candidates how their interview data will be used.
  • Only record interviews where candidates are told and agree. The service asks candidates for this agreement before an interview starts.
  • Follow employment, anti-discrimination, privacy and AI laws that apply to you and your candidates.
  • Make your own hiring decisions with human judgment. AI evaluations are decision support and must not be the only basis for rejecting a candidate. Give candidates a way to ask for human review.
  • Not ask questions, or set criteria, about protected characteristics such as religion, caste, ethnicity, gender, age, disability, marital status or health, unless the law clearly allows it.

5. Candidates

If you are invited to an interview, the company that invited you runs the hiring process and decides how to use your interview. You will be told before the interview whether it is recorded and that the company’s team may join live, and the interview starts only after you agree. You can leave at any time. Please answer honestly and in your own words, and don’t record, copy or share the interview or its questions without the company’s permission.

6. Acceptable use

You must not:

  • Use the service for anything unlawful, deceptive, harassing or discriminatory, or to interview people without their knowledge.
  • Impersonate another person or company, or upload content you have no right to use.
  • Try to get around credit charges, access limits or security, or access other customers’ data.
  • Reverse engineer, scrape, overload or disrupt the service, or use it to build a competing product.
  • Use the service to make decisions about people that are not related to hiring, such as credit, insurance or housing.

We may suspend accounts that break these rules or put the service or other users at risk.

7. AI output

Interview questions, transcripts and evaluations are generated by AI and speech recognition, and may contain mistakes, including mis-heard words or wrong conclusions. Evaluations quote the answers they rely on so you can check them. You are responsible for reviewing AI output before relying on it.

8. Your content and data

You own the content you put into asktalent.ai, such as job descriptions, criteria and notes, and the interview results produced for you. You give us permission to host, process and transmit it only as needed to provide and secure the service, as described in our Privacy Policy. We do not use your interview data to train AI models. Recordings are deleted automatically after 7 days, so download anything you need to keep.

9. Our property

asktalent.ai, its software, design, brand and AI interviewer personas belong to us or our licensors. These terms give you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service while your account is in good standing. If you send us feedback, we may use it without obligation to you.

10. Availability and changes

We work to keep asktalent.ai available and reliable, but the service is provided “as is” and “as available”. Interviews depend on candidates’ devices, browsers and internet connections, and on third-party providers, so we cannot guarantee that every interview or live call will run without interruption.

11. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, or for lost profits, revenue, data or hiring outcomes. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

12. Indemnity

If you use asktalent.ai for a company, you will cover our reasonable losses and costs from claims by candidates or others arising from your hiring decisions, your content, or your breach of these terms or the law.

13. Ending your account

You can stop using the service and ask us to close your account at any time by writing to support@asktalent.ai. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, with notice where reasonable. When an account closes, unused credits lapse except where a refund is owed under section 3, and we delete your data as described in the Privacy Policy.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will post the new version here with a new date and, for significant changes, tell customers by email or in the app before they take effect. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the new terms.

15. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of India have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring a claim locally.
